    We are pleased to announce our annual summer Ice Cream Social to introduce community members to the Chittenden Historical Society and invite them to join us as members. Our mission is to preserve, and share our rich town history. During the Ice Cream Social we also present a monetary award to the annual winner of the Muzzy Davenport Award and the recipient shares their project with us.

    Tim Watkins, the local Green Mountain Forest (GMF) Archeologist will speak on the archeological sites in the Green Mountain National Forest. As September is Archeology Month, his presentation on GMF archeological sites will be both timely and interesting.

    Potluck supper. Vermont Humanities Council Speaker Gregory Sharrow will present “A Sense of Place: Vermont’s Farm Legacy," at the Grange Hall. Supper will be at 6pm for members and guests. The program will start at 7pm and will be open to the general public.
